Being able to download offline topo maps for the specific trails would be huge, especially for anyone venturing into areas with spotty cell coverage. Love the elevation profiles and GPX exports already, that part is solid.
@nurcanboyu Offline trails and maps feature is available only on the TrailX mobile app (currently available for Android, iOS coming soon). Reliable offline access was one of the biggest priorities while building the app.
Really glad you're enjoying the elevation profiles and GPX exports. 😊 Thank you so much.
Honestly the topographic detail looks great but it would be super helpful if you could overlay weather forecasts and wind data onto the trail routes, basically so you know conditions before heading out
@hanifefndkpqon Thanks! That's actually already built into TrailX. 😊 We show weather forecasts directly along the trail, including conditions at different points on the route, so you can get a better idea of what you'll be heading into before you set off. Wind data is a great suggestion too, it's especially useful for exposed ridgelines and mountain routes, and we're looking at expanding the weather insights even further. Really appreciate the feedback!
Tried the elevation profile view on a local hike and was impressed by how clean the topo details read, especially around ridges. The GPX export worked perfectly in my Garmin, which is honestly all I really needed.
@elmastrkbadx3w Thanks so much! That means a lot to hear. We spent quite a bit of time making the elevation profiles easy to read before heading out, so I'm glad it was useful. And it's great to know the GPX export worked seamlessly with your Garmin. Hope TrailX comes in handy for many more adventures! :) If you are Android user, please give the app a try - trail recordings, in-app navigation are some additional features in the mobile app. iOS app publishing is currently in review and should be available soon.
Love the elevation profiles and topo detail, this looks great for serious trekkers. One thing that would push it further for me is offline map support with downloadable regions, so you can still access trail data when you're out of cell range on longer expeditions.
@abanvvm4 well the offline map feature is available on TrailX app on android . The ios app shall be published soon too
Would love a weather overlay feature on the trail maps, like real-time forecasts or typical conditions for the planned date. Hikers commit to trips days in advance and knowing rain probability or temperature trends right on the elevation profile would save a lot of last-minute replanning.
The elevation profiles stacked alongside the technical topo analysis on each trail page is such a smart move, saves a ton of tab switching when I am scouting routes.
