Hi Product Hunters 👋🏻 I spent the last 4 years learning to trade stocks, futures, options, you name it! But like many traders, I felt like I was running in place with no traction - impulsive decisions from FOMO, holding on too long from greed, or not knowing what to look for in a trade. 📉 That is until I started to journal my trades manually on TradingView (the popular charting app). I used their tool to place text bubbles throughout the life of my trades, writing about how I felt in each moment. For example: - I saw these moving averages cross here, so I decided to enter the trade here - I got nervous here after the trade suddenly went against me, but I held on - After seeing some choppy price action, I sold here so I don't give back profits After doing this many times, I started to see patterns in my trading in what I was doing right and wrong, and better retained this information after each trade. I quickly developed as a trader in my skillset and confidence! 📈 Enter Trade Trender, a site designed to encourage this form of interactive trade journaling. Upload an image of your chart, and journal directly on top, moment by moment. Soon enough, you'll be able to identify patterns in your own trading and take tangible steps towards your financial freedom! 🚀

@herklos yes! That’s top of my list for new features. Sort of a read-only version of your trades that can be shared publicly. It’ll be a great way to engage your own community!

@johnsonsun hey Johnson! Thanks for your feedback! As of now it does not, since it’s simply meant for uploading an image of your charts to journal them. But I can see people wanting to automatically ingest their trades. Is that what you’d be looking to do when connecting to TV or MT? Perhaps we can see if others want the same too!

Congrats on the launch! Does Trade Trender offer any integration with popular trading platforms or brokers to automatically sync trade data, or does it require manual data entry?

@kelly_happicat Hey Kelly! Thanks for the comment. As of now it's more manual, and that's intentional. This tool encourages users to walk through their trades on a more intimate level to get a really good understanding of their tendencies, mistakes, etc. Other trading journals encourage more of a set-and-forget import model when connecting to brokers which isn't effective. I'm totally open to integrating with brokers in the near future though if that's what people want, it can be cumbersome to do it manually if you have dozens of trades to backfill 😁 Thanks for your support!
