Toon Tone isn't a traditional color game—it's a training tool disguised as one. Designers, animators, and illustrators know that color perception is a skill. The more you study real color palettes from animation, branding, and visual design, the better your instincts become. That's what Toon Tone does: it turns color analysis into a game you actually want to play.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
We built this because color games online all suck. They're either abstract shapes nobody cares about, or some corporate training nonsense.
Started as a joke: "what if we made a color game where you actually recognize the colors?" You see SpongeBob and you know that yellow. You see the McDonald's logo and you know that red. Nobody needs to explain what they're looking at.
First version was just anime. Then our designer friends started using it and wouldn't stop climbing the leaderboard. Realized this works for anyone who's looked at anything—design, animation, brands, flags. Eye training disguised as a game.

Love that this focuses on real palettes from animation and branding rather than random colors. One thing that would make it stick for me: a daily challenge mode where everyone gets the same image and you can see how your guesses compare to other players on a leaderboard.

Love how the palettes feel pulled from real animation stills rather than random swatches, makes me actually want to keep guessing until my eyes catch up.
