I built Toolglade because finding a good AI tool had become genuinely hard. Every "top AI tools" list I found was either pay-to-play, auto-generated, or months out of date — and I kept wasting evenings signing up for tools that didn't do what the listing promised.
So I started a directory with one rule: every tool is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and no one can buy a better ranking. Each page says how deeply it was checked and when it was last verified, and there's a public list of tools we've removed — because a directory you can trust has to show its work.
It grew from there. People didn't just want "which tool" — they wanted "which tools, in what order, for this goal," so I built an AI Stack Builder: pick a goal (faceless Shorts, an SEO blog, a newsletter…) and get the full workflow with the right tool at each step and an estimated monthly cost. And since a lot of people are still learning AI, there are 70+ free-to-start courses alongside the directory.
It's all hand-written and independent, and still early. I'd genuinely love your feedback — especially where a ranking or review doesn't match your own experience. That's exactly the kind of thing that makes it better.
