Received an email today. They had limited capacity and no longer have bitcoins available. Seems like this was just a first roll-out and I didn't make the cut. All good, wish they would have messaged it to me sooner than 3 days after purchase.

This is a very clever idea. They only let you purchase $20 worth of bitcoins and as a result can get away with lots of things.

Interesting. 10 mins seems like a along time. How do you think they compare to Coinbase? (My total time invested there was less than 10 minutes before purchasing, though I suppose the pauses in the verification steps are what they remove?)

Yeah, saw that. They also offer to open you a CoinBase account for free too. It'll be interesting to see if their hypothesis works out that the verification steps are the main conversion blocker.

@staringispolite I can totally imagine people saying "I want to try out this Bitcoin thing, but all these websites ask me to add my bank account, and I also hear a lot of these Bitcoin companies are so ghetto and shady, like that magic card trading site going bankrupt with several hundred million dollars. I think i'll just try it out with this where I have nothing to lose"
