I built TickTappy because I was frustrated with time tracking apps that felt like work themselves. For years, I just used an Excel spreadsheet on a shared drive to track my time across projects. Every "proper" time tracking app I tried (Toggl, Clockify, etc.) was built for teams and billing - they wanted me to categorize everything, set up projects, fill out required fields. Too much friction for someone who just wants to know where their time goes. I always wanted to build something simpler for myself, but never had the time. AI changed that - I could finally build it in evenings and weekends. So I made the opposite of those complex tools: one tap to start, one tap to stop. That's it. What TickTappy has: • One-tap timer • Optional color-coded tags • Clean weekly view of your patterns • Native apps across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and web What it doesn't have: • Complex dashboards • Mandatory categorization • Team features I'm a solo indie developer - no VC, no growth team. Just a focused tool that does one thing well. Free to use locally. Premium unlocks cloud sync across all your devices.
