Hi everyone! I’m Lindsey, the founder of Thriftr, an online marketplace that makes it easy to find and list local rummage sales.
I built Thriftr because I’ve always loved the treasure-hunt magic of garage sales, but realized how outdated the process still is. People rely on cardboard signs, random Facebook posts, or word of mouth, and shoppers often miss out on great finds just because they didn’t know a sale was happening nearby.
Thriftr modernizes that experience by helping hosts effortlessly list their sale (with a simple QR code or link) and helping shoppers discover nearby sales all in one map-based view. No endless scrolling through cluttered marketplaces or local groups—just a cleaner, community-focused way to declutter and discover.
What’s unique about this launch is that we’re bridging digital convenience with local connection. We’re not just another resale app; we’re about the in-person experience of neighborhood rummage sales and giving pre-loved items new life.
What I’m most proud of is seeing the idea come full circle, from a sketch in my notes app to something that can genuinely help people make a little extra money, reduce waste, and find joy in the hunt again.
Would love your feedback, ideas, or even your favorite garage sale story!
