👋 Hey Product Hunters, I'm really excited to be launching my first product after becoming a full time entrepreneur this year 🤓 At the end of 2020 I decided to quit my job, complete a code bootcamp to (re)learn to code, and begin a journey building products over the course of 2021. This is the very first (hopefully of many) products that I'm launching. I built Thread Creator because I really didn't love the native interface for creating Twitter threads, and I wanted an easy way to schedule a thread to be published at a convenient time. I have intentionally kept things simple, and have only added features that I hope will make your life easier and make creating Twitter threads more fun. 🤞 Thread Creator is free to use and you can create and schedule as many threads as you like. I've also created a PRO plan for users who need advanced features, such as automatic retweets and setting intervals between tweets (i.e sending tweets one at a time instead of all at once). With more advanced features coming soon. To celebrate the launch I'm offering a 70% discount on the annual PRO plan for life. For those interested in some back story: I wrote a blog post a couple months ago about how I decided to leave my Director level job at GitHub to attend a code bootcamp and become a full time entrepreneur, but here’s the recap... For years I have tried to build products from ideas that I have had, and was always reliant on others to make it happen. They never really worked out, for the simple reason that no one ever cares about a project or idea as much as YOU do. When I’d start something new, motivation was always strong in the beginning, however slowly but surely it decreased as I struggled to make any progress on a particular idea. At the end of last year, in the middle of a pandemic, I decided to flip the script and (re)learn to code so that I could take my destiny into my own hands. I completed the bootcamp in December of 2020 and decided to start working on a project that I had in the back of my mind, and had pitched to my bootcamp cohort for a group project. I wanted to reinforce the things I had learnt and push myself to launch my first product as soon as possible! I thought it would be good to get started over the Christmas holidays and work on it into the new year. The day after Christmas though, I got sick… with vertigo. For three weeks I could hardly look at a computer screen, but eventually I felt well enough to get back to working on the project. I managed to finish the project in about 6 weeks and I’m super happy with the end result. The most important lesson I was hoping to take out of it though, was actually finishing something I started. So many side projects start out strong and never see the light of day, and I was determined not to make that mistake again. And so, that's pretty much how Thread Creator came into being.

I have been using ThreadCreator for the last few weeks and the experience has been seamless. From the beginning, I found the experience of writing threads to be 10x better than in a Google Doc or text file. And more intuitive than other similar apps. Also, @johnjoubert has been quick to respond to my questions when I reached out. As a result, I’ve shipped more threads in the past few weeks than I had before. What’s amazing is that there’s a lot of value provided for free! So, there’s no reason not to try it out. Congrats on building a beautiful product and on launching, @johnjoubert!

Removing the friction between an idea for a great thread and pressing publish has been overcomplicated on twitter for far too long. With Thread Creator this is finally not a barrier anymore.
