This is great! As a product manager the first thing I thought after seeing this was how awesome it could be for really lightweight lean product specs. I'd have a tab for for overview / timetable, validation, features, tech, and UX. If only you could embed wireframes somehow. What do the other PMs on PH use for this purpose?
@colemercer Thanks for commenting, Cole, great to hear that. It's exactly what I use Thought Plan for myself! :) The wireframes that you would like to embed, are those images or...?
@_helpmeranda Comments would be pretty cool, nice idea! If you want, you can post a feature request here and have others vote on your idea: http://thoughtplan.uservoice.com...
Thanks for your feedback, let me know if there's any more! :)
The idea of using Markdown for formatting your thoughts is pretty convenient, although I do believe this is not usable when creating a mobile app/website. I like the layout of a "thought", It's like creating chapters/subjects within a bigger subject.
@bramk Hey Bram, thanks so much for posting this here, you've made my day! :) Thought Plan currently hardly works on mobile because it's not optimized for touch yet. Hoping to have that sorted out soon though! :)
@yo Hey Troy, thanks for commenting! I use Notes on my iPhone/Mac for things people would usually use (sticky) notes for, like writing down my parking lot number, but I can't use it to collect my thoughts on a certain topic (e.g. a business idea) because it's not structured enough.
Evernote does have the concept of Notebooks, but it doesn't give me the same convenient at-a-glance structure that Thought Plan does and it always felt a bit bloated and slow to me. What do you think as (I assume) an Evernote user?
This is great--was literally brainstorming an idea during a 2-hour drive today, came home checked out PH and see this! Super easy to use and fits the use case incredibly well. When's the iOS app coming? :)
@danclay Hi Dan, thanks a lot for your kind words, I'm really glad you're enjoying Thought Plan! :) Mobile support is in high demand haha, I hope to have something soon! :)
Played with this app this morning and am really liking it. I look forward to watching it develop. I currently use some combination of Workflowy and Simplenote but I believe this could be a better approach and I'm way into markdown. I pay for Workflowy Pro, so this is definitely the type of app I would pay for when its ready.
To pull me away from other tools, I need a great Android app that syncs in the background (always has the latest notes) and works offline. I'm sure mobile is in the plan and I look forward to it :)
@ccarella Thanks so much Chris, I'm glad you like it! :) :)

Wonderful concept... I've struggled with capturing ideas for years. Agree with all the limitations captured in this video. Still might need simple toolbar for rich text editing if you want mass acceptance (getting the WordPress crowd).
@paisano Thanks a lot Paisano, it's great to hear that you feel the same way about these things. Rich text editing is a tricky subject because it takes away from the simplicity, but you have a very good point about the WordPress crowd!

@mackseraner I understand... just include the option...sort of like advanced mode (without the popout rich text toolbar AKA training wheels)
