Books start with people. ThePeopleBook helps you find writing partners and turn real experience into nonfiction worth reading. It is a place for team-written nonfiction. Editors, writers, and people who know the subject work on the book together, from the first idea to the finished manuscript. Each person brings what they know. Contributors keep their copyright.

Hi Product Hunt,
I'm Derek, founder of ThePeopleBook.
I built ThePeopleBook because I kept seeing the same problem: a lot of useful nonfiction never becomes a book. It stays with people who have actually lived through something, but most of them are not going to write a full manuscript alone. They are busy, they may not think of themselves as writers, or they just do not know where to start.
ThePeopleBook gives them a way to do it with other people. Editors, writers, and people who know the subject firsthand work together chapter by chapter, from the first idea to a finished manuscript.
That is also why I still believe in books. The way information moves has changed, and AI makes it easy to ask for a quick summary, but a summary is not the same as reading. You still have to spend time with the argument, the details, and the voice behind it. Otherwise, the thinking gets outsourced too.
A few things I care about:
It is real collaboration between real people, not a content farm.
Contributors keep their copyright.
The site is live and open at thepeoplebook.com.
I'd really like blunt feedback. And if you have ever thought about turning your own experience into a book but did not know where to start, I would like to hear from you.
