Hey Product Hunt, I'm Michael, founder and engineer behind TheOpenPresenter This started in 2024, at a workshop where we spent the first ten minutes just trying to get slides onto the big screen. Wrong cable, wrong resolution, someone's laptop locking itself. I remember thinking this was absurd. We've had projectors for decades and this is still the hard part. So I built the thing I wanted that day. TheOpenPresenter runs in the browser: the screen just loads a URL, and you drive it from your phone, tablet or laptop. Nothing to install on the presenting machine, no cable roulette. Your screen becomes an extension of the device already in your hand. Everything syncs in real time, so more than one person can prepare and run the same session at once. Someone can fix a slide while you're already presenting. Fully open source under AGPL-3.0. Self-host it on your own hardware for free, or use the hosted version if you'd rather not run infrastructure.
