I'm Athika, co-founder of TheDesignAI alongside Mahfooz.
Honest confession: I'm a full-stack engineer, and I'm genuinely bad at design inception. I can look at a design and tell you exactly what's wrong and how to fix it, well, that critique muscle is strong. But staring at a blank canvas and generating the first iteration myself? I've tried to train that skill for years and never found the inspiration to stick with it. So with clients, I'd always ask them to hand me a first draft to react to. It worked, but it always felt incomplete, like I was only ever doing half the job.
Then I stumbled onto this little project Mahfooz had been building. The second I saw it, I knew it was something bigger than what it looked like in that moment. He had the technical depth; I brought the business sense and together we shared the genuine passion for it. So We combined forces, and built TDAI over the next two months.
We've had 30+ beta testers since, and we're reiterating on their feedback constantly! What you're seeing today is nowhere close to day zero. It's looked completely different multiple times over. We're proud of how far it's come, and we know there's a long way still to go.

A quick piece of UX feedback: I initially expected the search/input bar on the homepage to be interactive, but noticed it's static. Additionally, is there a way for users to test or preview the product in a sandbox environment without having to create an account first?"
The output actually looked like something I would hand off to engineering rather than a mood board. Honestly surprised how clean the spacing and typography came out on the first try.
