This is one of my favorite epic fantasy series. The story is really long and is about the struggle between good and evil. Both in a larger world sense and in a more personal sense for the main protagonist Rand al Thor.
The series had to be finished by Brandon Sanderson (another one of my favorite authors) because Jordan passed away before he could end the series. .
