Does your Resume have what it takes to land interviews? Play The Resume Game to find out! Roadmap members go from zero interviews to 2+ a week within 3 weeks. Learn the 1-2-3 strategy to get hired in Tech whether you have 0 or 10+ years experience.
People drastically overthink and overspend on Resumes, and for good reason. Resume is one small but critical piece of career advancement. We reverse-engineered the hiring process using our 10+ years hiring in Tech + the experiences of 7k job seekers to bring you the easiest 1-2-3 resume strategy in a fun and rather addictive game.
Your Resume must answer 3 questions in 5-seconds:
1. What role would I hire you for?
2. Why would I trust you in that role?
3. How do you differ from other candidates?
Optimize your Resume to answer these 3 questions and you will land referrals and interviews. Play The Resume Game to find out if you pass the test, then use our tools to optimize your Resume to get results. This game puts you in the recruiter's seat so that you learn how to think like a recruiter as you go through the job search process.
Results! Roadmap members go from zero interviews (often for months on end) to interviews in 3-weeks. Boom! The method works to land jobs in Tech, whether you have zero or ten+ years of experience.
Sneak preview of bonus tips you get with Roadmap:
✔️ Rewrite the first bullet point on your Resume to speak to the first bullet point on the Job Description for the role you're applying to
✔️ Make sure your bullet points contain numbers - all work can be quantified!
✔️ Embolden numbers only on your resume; keep everything else black and white to make your resume literally "jump" with value when a recruiter screens it for 3-5 seconds
How do you know if you need to work on your Resume?
- You aren't landing interviews
- You aren't getting past phone screens
- If you move to the Hiring Manager interview, second interview in the process, your Resume has done it's job! If you don't make it past this round, then it's time to learn how to ace hiring manager interviews.

This is great advice, I always do number 1 well, 2 and 3 could use some work. I love the extra tips in @malinda_coler1 comment.
@pete_hawkins 2 and 3 are the toughest.
2) We're doing live workshops every week to strategize KPIs, https://www.roadmap.net/workshops
3) Look for something unique on the Job Description and speak to it in your exec summary, skills summary, or in a top bullet point under a job title

These are great tips. I especially like the tip of changing the first bullet on your resume to the first bullet on the job description - can't wait to try that one!
This game is great for reviewing resumes. When I actually review for friends or even for myself, I never really have that time limit in mind and can actually answer the 2nd and 3rd questions as we're breaking into the new role. I'd love to see the feedback that I will get from others, especially questions number 3
@trojsura Ooh, now I'm curious to play the game and hopefully review your resume so I can check out those key differentiators! Look for something unique on the Job Description and speak to it in your exec summary, skills summary, or in a top bullet point under a job title

Great way to get users' participation. I like how you will have the opportunity for others to view your resume. Thanks, Malinda
I'm excited to try this out although my current resume is tailored to a different industry. I hope it can highlight any skills I can use to explore opportunities in tech!
This is amazing. My first thought was whether this was oversimplifying hiring / interviewing and then it struck me that no, it's just we tend to overcomplicate it in our heads. Congrats on the launch, Malinda!
