Hey Product Hunt Peeps! I'm Brianna - the founder of OurStory aka The OurStory App. The idea of OurStory developed over a few years, it started off as a really big idea stemming from my love for history, sharing stories and feeling like we weren't archiving our experiences in a way that we could look back on and that future generations could learn from. After some beta testing and refining the concept, OurStory became what you see today. What is OurStory? It's a social network It's a collaborative journal It's a community It's pseudo anonymous, if you want it to be It's a way for you to archive your memories and experiences to look back on one day It's a platform that uses our memories to bring people closer together Everyday OurStory generates a new prompt for you answer. Some days you may not want to share and just want to browse other peoples memories and that's okay too. OurStory isn't meant to take up all of your time, it's meant to be a quick break from the chaos of the everyday to help you actually connect with people and with yourself. We just launched on the Apple App Store and Google Play with over 250 organic downloads in our first month, and we're just getting started :) Thank you guys for checking out The OurStory App - I really love it and hope you do too. Congrats on the launch,@bri_anna ! 🎉 The framing of "quick break from the chaos to actually connect with people and yourself" really resonates as I find myself fighting with social apps that optimize for the opposite. I also like that it's daily-prompt-driven rather than open-ended. It removes the "what do I even write" friction that kills most journaling apps after week two.

Would love a "look back on this day" or yearly recap feature in the future! Keep up the great work!
