Sick of “just one more can” lies? We built The Last Can, a web app that tracks your Energy drinking habit, throws in some sarcastic nudges, and helps you finally break free. Built by a former 5-cans-a-day survivor.

I used to think I was “in control” of my energy drink habit. You know the drill: “just one before work… okay, maybe one more mid-morning… fine, three cans, but it’s a stressful day.”
Fast forward a few years, and my fridge looked like a Monster display rack, and my sleep schedule was basically a horror movie. The worst part wasn’t even the caffeine. It was the endless cycle of:
- Promising myself this was the last can
- Relapsing a few days later
- Telling myself “next Monday for real”
- Repeat x 100.
If you’ve ever “quit” energy drinks ten times already… yeah, same.
That’s why I built The Last Can. It’s a web app designed for people like me (and maybe you) who don’t need another inspirational wellness lecture. We need reality checks and a bit of cynicism to finally make it stick.
Here’s what it does:
- Dashboard of shame – track your cans, money burned, sleep ruined. No hiding.
- Craving kill switch – quick tools to outsmart your brain when it screams for neon cans.
- Sarcastic nudges – less “you got this champ”, more “congrats, you’re funding Big Energy’s yacht again.”
- Progress that actually feels good – see how many cans you’ve dodged, how much cash you’ve saved, and how much more human you feel.
It’s still early and rough around the edges, but building this has already helped me cut down way more than any “just stop drinking them” advice ever did.
I’d love to hear your feedback:
- What’s the hardest part of quitting for you?
- Which feature would actually keep you accountable?
- Or maybe: what’s the dumbest excuse you’ve told yourself for cracking open “just one more”?
Thanks for checking this out. If you’ve ever thought, “this time I’ll really quit” maybe this time it actually sticks.
