Influence Lottery is the easiest way to grow your Twitter following. Get lottery tickets by connecting your Twitter account and referring friends. After 24 hours, a winner will be announced and all players will automatically follow them on Twitter.
Hello PH 👋 Welcome to the first ever ✨Influence Lottery ✨ on Twitter.
Have you ever wanted 1,000 more Twitter followers? Yeah, me too.
Whether you’re marketing software or selling an online course, followers are the currency of the internet.
Yet, it’s hard to build an audience from scratch. For the first few years, you have to overcome the psychological burden of shouting into an endless expanse of nothingness on Twitter.
Because of this cold start problem, we built the ✨Influence Lottery ✨as a fun way to bootstrap your Twitter following. The rules are simple:
🎟️ Connect your Twitter account to earn a ticket
🤝 Refer your friends to earn more tickets
🤩 At 8AM PT tomorrow, we'll randomly select a winning ticket holder to automatically receive a follow from every player
To help you follow along in real-time, we built a leaderboard to track how many tickets every player has.
And of course, we couldn't forget about our PH fam 🤗 We have a special referral code for the community which gives you 5 extra tickets if you join using this link: https://influencelottery.com?cod...
Depending on how the lottery goes, we’d love to continue holding these on a recurring basis. If it goes super duper well, we may even build a platform for people to host their own follower lotteries across different platforms and with customizable incentive structures. Let us know in the comments if you'd be interested 👇
Shoutout to @thatguybg for help on product / UX / growth, @philhedayatnia for the designs 🔥🤯🔥 and @Launch_House (on Twitter) for bringing us together.
Good luck everyone and and we'll be around today to answer questions!
This is pointless. Why anyone would want followers that are random people, not engaged and not interested in what you say/your products? It's like buying followers, definitely a no go for any serious social media manager. For the first time since i'm on ProductHunt I wish there was a downvote button.
@giulio_maselli Thanks for the feedback Giulio. A couple things to note:
1) we shared this product with people and communities we trust so many of the people joining are second or third degree connections or people with similar interests (eg tech / startups).
2) we built this as a experiment in order to drive social commentary so comments like yours are useful in gauging whether we should do something similar in the future. Your feedback will definitely guide how we think through future iterations.
Hey Product Hunt! Who wants to be a Twitteraire?? We built this app for you!
1. connect your twitter account
2. share with friends
3. win thousands of followers
Well. Are the twitter algorithms very different from the instagram algorithms, for example?
As far as I know, instagram can reduce the account statistics for such "games". If a large number of people subscribe to a profile at once, and then some of them inevitably unsubscribe, it leads to bad results.
Does Twitter make things easier?
@nataliyavlasova Solid question. I actually don't know. We thought it was a fun idea and built this as a quick experiment so I we're just waiting to see how it plays out. I'd guess that IG and Twitter's spam algorithms are similar though.

This is hilarious!
How can we determine the authenticity of this idea? (To know you're not pulling any funny tricks hahaha)
Hey @thatguybg congratulation on the launch!! Crazzzzy concept....just out of curiosity, would you follow someone you haven't heard of into your followed list or would you follow someone based on the contents they publish?
Which one would you choose?
Seamless experience, kinda addictive for people like me who get way too competitive about things like this 😉.
Vaguely reminds me of @viralloopshq in concept – with the subtle nuance of a leaderboard and a slightly better/simpler incentive structure.
I love it.
