Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm the solo developer behind The Hisaab. Built this after our Goa trip WhatsApp group hit 200+ messages of "maine toh Arjun ko de diye" and "Airbnb kisne pay kiya" — basically the classic Indian group trip money chaos. Splitwise exists but always felt wrong for India — paywall for basic features, no UPI context, not built around how we actually pay each other here. So I built The Hisaab. 60 days in, 300+ real users, completely free forever. The thing I'm most proud of: just shipped a WhatsApp nudge feature — when your friend owes you Rs 500+, the app prompts you to send them a pre-filled WhatsApp message with the exact amount. Because Indians will never awkwardly ask for money directly but they will tap one button.
