Hey Product Hunt I’m Layne, the solo founder behind Grey Mirror. I built this after going through two divorces and spending years wondering whether the communication patterns were visible earlier. Not in a mystical “AI knows the truth about love” way, but in the actual messages: repair fading, affection becoming one-sided, future planning disappearing, response rhythms changing, and the same conflict loops coming back again and again. Grey Mirror is the tool I wish existed then. It analyzes full exported message histories, not screenshots, and turns them into relationship metrics, timelines, recurring loops, trajectory shifts, and an evidence-backed report. I spent four years building the parser, upload flow, ML pipeline, report system, and cinematic reveal because I wanted this to feel serious not like a chatbot giving generic advice.
