Hey everyone! I was inspired to build The Familee. for a very personal reason, We don't want to put our child on public social media. I wanted to share his milestones with our grandparents and cousins, but we are not comfortable with the public exposure of Instagram or Facebook. At the same time, managing photos across a dozen fragmented group chats was a mess, having to send the same picture to all of our family members. I realized families needed a third option a private, beautiful digital home that belongs only to them. The process evolved significantly when we moved beyond just "sharing photos" to "preserving legacy." That's when we built Heirloom Capsules, which let you lock memories away to be opened in the future. It turned the app from a simple feed into a true family operating system.
