Like many of you, I spend 8 to 10+ hours a day staring at screens. A while back, I realized I was constantly dealing with dry eyes, headaches, and physical fatigue by the afternoon—classic symptoms of digital eye strain (or Computer Vision Syndrome), which actually affects roughly 7 in 10 computer users.
When I looked into how to properly set up my desk, monitor distance, and eye-break routine, I found that the guidance was either buried in dense government regulations (OSHA/CCOHS) or hidden behind expensive, elusive software.
I wanted to build a 100% free, privacy-first tool that turns your actual eye prescription into an actionable workspace layout. No logins, no tracking—everything runs right in your browser.
With the advent of AI and improved technology, most of us spend more time online than the time we spend sleeping. I aim to improve the quality of the huge portion of our lives we spend sitting at the desk in front of a laptop.
As we launch today, I would love your honest feedback on a few specific areas:
The Vision Simulator & Calculators: If you wear glasses, how accurate do the clear-vision range and the live vision simulator feel relative to your real-world experience?
UI/UX & Accessibility: Is the interface easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile? Are the input fields for prescriptions intuitive for someone who isn't an optometrist?
Feature Requests: What other tools would make this a permanent part of your daily productivity dashboard? (e.g., deeper calendar integrations, native desktop notifications, or specific stretch trackers?)
I'll be in the comments to answer your queries, chat about workspace ergonomics, and do my best to implement your suggestions.
Thank you so much for checking this out!
