Built because I wanted to see the internet, not scroll it. 100K real websites as stars. Fly anywhere, search any domain, claim your site and climb the ladder as visitors light it up and become(get throne) planets or sun. Throne moves daily based on the visits you get on your star. Find an unclaimed star first and you're etched forever. OR simply explore watch other visitors ship roaming in the galaxy, open for more ideas and contribution.

A few weeks ago I had Claude credits about to expire and refused to waste them. So I spent one night writing a "product bible", what would the internet look like if it were a galaxy? and then a weekend building it against that spec.
The Billion Dollar Galaxy is the result: 100,000 real websites, each one a star. Positions aren't random, every site's content is embedded and projected into 3D, so neighborhoods emerge on their own.
News sites cluster. Dev tools cluster.
Light, though, is earned. Stars glow with the real visits they get, and the single most-visited star each day becomes the Sun. Any site can take the throne, today it takes a few hundred visits.
Some rules I refused to break:
* one page, no scroll, no HTML-looking UI. Everything lives in the galaxy itself
* the camera never cuts. All travel is continuous flight
* nothing is faked. If you see another explorer's beam, that's a real human, right now
You can claim your own site's star, and the first person to land on any unclaimed star gets their name etched on it permanently.
It's fully open source (MIT), you can fork it and seed your own universe. Would love to hear great ideas on what else can be a great addition to this.

Love the concept of carving out your corner of the galaxy, especially the daily throne shift based on real traffic. One thing I'd love to see is a small alliance or constellation system where friends can link their stars into a named cluster, share visits between them, and compete together on a separate leaderboard. It would give smaller creators a reason to team up instead of fighting solo against huge sites.
@ceydatrco thanks for such a great suggestion, A named cluster which appears from far and overall glow increases of that cluster based on number of visitors on that cluster.

Such a creative way to rethink web navigation. Do people spend more time exploring once everything becomes spatial instead of list-based?
@shailendra_sahu1 @aryan787544 I do think the novelty is part of the appeal, especially for a first visit.
What I'll be really curious to watch is whether people come back because it's fun to explore, or because they begin thinking about the web differently once they've experienced it. Those feel like very different kinds of retention.
Love the whole concept of claiming a star before anyone else and watching it grow into a planet or sun. One thing that would make it feel even more alive for me as an explorer: let visitors leave tiny anonymous notes or pixel drawings on stars they visit, kind of like graffiti on a cosmic wall. It would turn passive scrolling into actual shared discovery and give the galaxy more personality.
Spent a few minutes flying around and it feels like discovering a map of the internet instead of a feed. The "claim an unclaimed star" mechanic makes you actually want to hunt for forgotten domains before someone else does.
flew around for a bit and honestly the visual of typing a domain and watching it pop up as a star is kind of mesmerizing, way more fun than expected.
