Hey Product Hunt! I’m Adilet, the maker of Teya. Teya is an open‑source AI family agent that lives on a cheap, wall‑mounted Android phone. Instead of a single person’s chat window, it’s a shared assistant for the whole household: it listens, understands, remembers, and acts. What Teya does today: - Shopping list: “We’re out of milk” gets added without being asked twice. - Calendar: add events by voice (recurring or one‑off) and automatically invite the rest of the household. - Timers & alarms: set one by voice; Teya announces out loud when time’s up. - Reminders: “Remind me to call the plumber in 20 minutes” or “Remind me to bring cupcakes to the school run.” - Expenses: “12 euros for fruit” gets logged and categorized; ask “How much have we spent this month?” and it adds it up exactly. - Calls: a 5‑year‑old can say “Call Grandma” and place a normal cellular call, but only to people on an approved family contacts allowlist. How it works: - Runs on any Android 8.0+ phone; no backend server. - On‑device: wake word, voice activity detection, per‑person voice ID, family memory, shopping list, expenses, contacts allowlist. - Cloud (via Mistral, your own API key): LLM reasoning, speech‑to‑text, and text‑to‑speech. - Native Kotlin app using Android’s telephony, calendar, and alarms; calls are plain cellular calls, never joined or recorded. Why I built it: Today’s voice assistants are stuck in the early 2010s: great at timers and music, useless at actually running a household. Teya is meant to be a second brain for the home, especially for whoever carries the mental load (appointments, meals, school logistics, etc.). Would love a simple "guest mode" toggle that wipes per-person memory and skips voice ID for visitors, so Teya doesn't quietly log my in-laws' chatter into the household profile.

A per-user wake phrase would feel really natural here, so each person just says "hey Teya, it's me" once and it locks onto their voice profile for the rest of the conversation. Would save the household from those awkward moments when it mixes up who asked what.
