Hi Product Hunt! 😁 As a group of friends drifting apart in quarantine, we created Telie to stay connected through our love of watching shows and movies. Telie enables us to track our personal show-watching journeys, send wholesome (and memeful) recommendations, vote on what to watch in a group, and hype each other up by discovering each of our favorite shows! Now that the app has launched, we wanted to share this social platform for you and your friends and family too. 👩‍👩‍👧‍👧 🎬 How it works Have you been sharing your Netflix recommendations by copying and pasting through text? Or worse, through a Google Doc? Create lists in Telie to organize shows into niche categories and share your list of recommendations with friends. What about when nobody can decide what to watch? Or someone suggests Parasite, but you don’t even know how scary the plot may be? Create groups in Telie and have your friends add what they want to watch. I've been an avid TV show watcher since I was a kid! To date, I must have watched over 20 American television series, 50 Korean dramas, and 10 dramas from other Asian countries. But before Telie, I never jotted down everything that I have watched and also had no way of sharing my love for media with my friends. With the quarantine and the increase in media consumption for everybody, I was really excited to work on Telie with some of my good friends at Cornell to make something that not only we'd be happy to use but that will provide value for so many people like us. We really hope you can take a look at Telie and let us know what you think!

My favorite part about watching movies and TV shows is definitely debriefing with my friends afterwards -- talking about which scenes we liked or how crazy the plot twist was. Telie makes it so much easier to bond over the shows I love or explore new ones with friends. Try out Telie :-)

telie makes it so much easier for me to track what shows i want to watch, instead of just typing the name down on some notepad and forgetting about it minutes later. i love how telie is such a fun experience to share my thoughts with friends and hear their thoughts and suggestions on what they’ve watched, or just seeing what they’re watching lately🧐🤩 try out telie for tracking your binges and just a fun time with friends:)

woohoo! just downloaded the app with my roommate and we've already set up a group and started sharing shows and movies with each other. i'm always kind of out of touch with what's popular to watch, so it's helpful being able to see the lists other people are making. excited to being using this more:)
