What do you think? …

Martin Uhlmann
Hi Product Hunt! I built Techfolio because resumés have barely changed in 50 years, yet the way we build software has. Right now, hiring a developer often comes down to a static document that hides the very thing that matters: how they think. Techfolio is a hiring platform built on proof, not paper. Instead of a résumé, candidates have a living profile that shows: * How they’ve approached real problems, architectural decisions, and trade-offs * Breakdowns of their projects, tools, and layers they work with * Interactive challenges and a System Design Interview with a fully generated report What’s new and unique: * Fast-apply job matching: Our interface shows candidates the most relevant roles instantly * Custom employer challenges: Send your own problem set with a schema tailored to the role * Collaboration tools: Share a candidate with a colleague, add notes, and review together * Evidence-based filtering: Sort interested candidates by challenges completed or interview scores * Integrated communication: Chat instantly with candidates or schedule a Google Meet directly inside the platform We’re starting with candidates first—no job listings yet. Early adopters are helping shape the standard for a hiring process that’s clearer, faster, and grounded in evidence. If you’ve ever wanted something better than a résumé, this is it.

This is truely awesome! The interactive challenges and system design interview with a generated report is such a smart way to evaluate candidates – way better than just looking at a resume, right? It actually shows how people *think*, not just what they say they've done. How's the onboarding process for employers – is it easy to set up custom challenges?

Techfolio sounds like a game changer for hiring developers! I love the idea of showcasing a candidate's thought process. How do you see employers reacting to this new approach?

Martin Uhlmann

Hey @alexis_luo thank you, that means a lot.

I expect a few employers will embrace it quickly, but most will need time. Most hiring processes are built on habits rather than first principles, so a format that focuses on a person’s thinking instead of just credentials can understandably feel unfamiliar at first.

But once people see it in practice, the value becomes obvious. You’re not judging from a proxy or a checklist, you’re more seeing how someone approaches real problems. And I'm hopeful that by offering that sort of clarity, it shifts the focus from checking boxes to understanding people.

If anything in your own hiring experience resonates with this, I’d be genuinely interested to hear it, every perspective helps shape what this becomes. Thanks again.
