I’m Kim, the solo developer behind TeacherPalette.

In my day job, I’m a technical instructor, so I spend a lot of time explaining things on screen, from code walkthroughs and demos to presentations and classes.

I built TeacherPalette because I kept running into the same frustrations.

I often explain the same concepts more than once, but I had to redraw everything from scratch each time. Switching between annotation tools, whiteboards, and materials also broke my flow.

I also wanted presentation tools that looked a little more polished and were designed around how I actually present. For example, I wanted a rectangular magnifier that could enlarge a small section of a document while keeping the surrounding context visible. Small things like that make a big difference when you’re explaining something live.

What I really wanted was my own lightweight presentation toolkit. Something I could quickly open anywhere on my Mac, use while I explain, and come back to later. No account to manage and no cloud workspace to depend on.

I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted, so I built it myself.

What started as a tool for myself is already being used by fellow instructors and sales consultants in real classes, customer demos, and presentations.
