Hi ProductHunt 👋 Taskplane is a product that I've been working on for about 3 months on nights and weekends now. Last week it launched in Early Access, and today I wanted to share it with you here on ProductHunt. I'm currently collecting feedback from friends and early beta testers, and making a lot of progress on a daily basis! I recommend taking a look at the demo video, as well as on the Taskplane website (https://taskplane.app) to learn more about what it is, why you would want to use it, and how it works. I hope it will be a great fit for some of you! Onwards and upwards, Albin, Creator of Taskplane ✓

Hi, congratulations on the launch. I thank you for your efforts and sharing it with us. The overall UI looks great (from screenshots) and it has got pretty much all the necessary features that a project management tool should have. Now, can you please explain what is the "unique value proposition" behind this product? I mean, what it has got which no other tool is offering at the moment? Asking because, there are already 1000s of project/tasks management apps available in the market. We all see tons of such tools launched every month at PH. So, I am just curious about how will you make it stand out from the crowd?

Several of you in the comments have asked (or will ask) what sets Taskplane apart from other similar products in this space, so I'll try to give my answer in a separate comment here. I definitely agree that it's hard to compete against larger platforms, and I think it will be tough for Taskplane to "succeed". But, I don't think you shouldn't build something new just because it's been built before. Taskplane isn't a new solution. It's a refined implementation of a proven solution. It sits right in between the niche "hip" project management apps, and the larger, more established ones. I feel like it has the best balance between a user-friendly interface, powerful features, and integrations you expect from an app of this sort. Give it a try, and see if you like it!
