TaskMandala is a task manager that combines a kanban board and a mind map of the same data, kept in sync in real time. Drag a card on your board and its node moves on the map. Connect two ideas on the map and the relationship shows up on your board instantly. No more guessing which tasks are related or why something matters β see the full picture without losing the detail of due dates, status, and priority. Built for solo developers and small teams who think in both lists and networks.

Hey Product Hunt! π
I'm Koji, a solo indie developer, and I built TaskMandala because I kept hitting the same wall with every task tool I tried.
Kanban boards are great for seeing what's next β but they're terrible at showing why it matters. Is this task blocking three others? Is it part of a bigger initiative? You can't tell just by looking at a column.
Mind maps solve that β but then you lose all the detail. No due dates, no status, no assignees. Just bubbles and lines.
So I built TaskMandala: a kanban board and a mind map of the same data, in real time. Drag a card on your board, and its node moves on the map. Connect two ideas on the map, and the relationship shows up on your board. No syncing, no duplicating β it's one model, two views.
What makes it different:
π Bidirectional, real-time sync between kanban and mind map
𧩠See task relationships at a glance, not buried in descriptions
π₯ Free / Pro / Team plans (Team collaboration features like member invites and assignees are launching soon)
Would love for you to try it and tell me what's confusing, missing, or could be better. I'll be here all day answering every comment! π

Syncing the kanban and mind map in real time actually works smoothly, no lag when dragging cards around. Finally a way to see both the linear tasks and how they connect.
@denizbalk1uvmΒ Thanks so much, Deniz! That real-time sync was actually one of the trickiest parts to get right β glad it feels smooth on your end. Would love to hear what you end up using the mind map view for most (planning vs. reviewing connections between tasks)?
Quick behind-the-scenes note: the hardest part of building this wasn't the kanban
or the mind map individually β it was making the sync feel instant and never
lose data when you're editing both views at once (e.g. dragging a card while
someone else adds a connection on the map).
Curious how you all currently track "why" a task matters, not just "what's next"
β do you use tags, docs, sticky notes, something else? Would love to hear how
TaskMandala compares to your current setup!
Love that the mind map and board share the same underlying data instead of being two separate views you have to keep reconciling. That bidirectional sync is a smart piece of craft.
