See when food delivery becomes a habit and interrupt it before you order. I spent $2,800 last year on food delivery and gained 15 pounds. Mostly from long days, stress, and boredom that quietly wrecked my diet and budget. When I looked at the data, it wasn’t random: same days, same times, every week. Takeout Escape shows your ordering patterns and spending, then sends a notification before you usually order. That interruption is enough to break the habit.

Why I made this
I spent 2 years trying to lose weight.
Counted calories. Lifted weights. Walked 10,000 steps.
But I'd undo days of progress in one moment of weakness, usually weekdays after work. Open DoorDash. Order. Binge. Repeat.
I tried deleting the delivery apps. Lasted 3 days.
The problem wasn't willpower. It was that I couldn't see the pattern.
Once I pulled my email receipts and analyzed them, it was obvious:
- Monday 2pm (stressful day)
- Thursday 8pm (exhausted)
- Sunday night (dreading the week)
Same triggers. Every week. $2,800/year.
So I built Takeout Escape to:
1. Show you WHEN you actually order (not when you think you do)
2. Predict cravings before they hit
3. Send a notification right when you're most vulnerable.
This isn’t meant to shame or restrict. The goal is simply awareness before the order happens, not guilt after.
It's like having a coach who knows your triggers better than you do.
Built it for myself first. Lost 15 pounds in a few months once I broke the food delivery loop.
Now it's on iOS with a 7-day free trial. Android coming in Feb.
Would love feedback from the PH community:
- What patterns do YOU notice in your own delivery habits?
- What would make this more useful?
Thanks for checking it out 🙏
