Hi Product Hunters! πŸ‘‹ People wonder why we're creating Surfoncode when there are already plenty of coding platforms out there. Why we built surfoncode ? πŸ’» Coding can be challenging for beginners. If you jump directly into solving problems without getting comfortable with syntax and logic, you're going to burn out pretty quickly. Some people decide that coding isn't for them just because of this. At Surfoncode, we keep things simple. We start beginners off with easy and enjoyable problems to help them get comfortable with the language. Then, we gradually increase the difficulty, giving them a smooth learning curve while making the process fun and addictive. 😁 Leave comments, share it with your friends and fellow beginners, and feel free to email me directly with any questions at suryo@surfoncode.comπŸ“§

Congrats on the launchπŸŽ‰ I've been using GPT to solve most of my programming problems and it's been quite helpful. I'm curious about what unique advantages Surfoncode offers that could make me consider it as an alternative or complement to my current setup?
Suryoday Kaushik
@zenda1122 Surfoncode is a learning platform for beginners to practice programming problems in various languages. It isn't like chatgpt; it complements your learning of a new programming language by introducing simple and easy problems and gradually increasing the difficulty level to avoid beginner burnout.

Surf on Code sounds like a great platform for beginners to get started with coding! Simplifying the learning process and gradually increasing difficulty can really help build confidence. One idea that could make the platform even more engaging is to incorporate gamified challenges or coding quests. Quick comments: Your PH icon on the landing page is not centered which means that when viewed from mobile makes it look strange. Also the β€œexplore challenges button should get a permanent black outline under the pulsing one, because you can see it disappear partially πŸ˜…. Congrats on the launch, Suryoday and Reetu! Looking forward to seeing how Surf on Code helps new coders.

@dan16 Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback and suggestions! 😊 We're thrilled that you see the value in our platform for beginners. Gamified challenges and coding quests sound like fantastic ideas to make learning even more engaging – we'll definitely look into incorporating those! We appreciate your quick comments on the PH icon and the "Explore Challenges" button. We'll make sure to fix those issues to improve the user experience, especially on mobile. πŸ˜… Thanks again for your support and kind words. We're excited to help new coders on their journey! πŸŽ‰

congrats on the launch of surfoncode. the approach of easing beginners into coding with manageable challenges seems interesting. how do you plan to keep the platform engaging as users' skills advance beyond the beginner level?
Reetu Raj
@mashy We are in the process of adding more advanced challenges to our platform, and these new questions will be available soon. We have an exciting feature in mind that will be great for users with medium to advanced coding skills. While it's not ready yet, we are actively working on it. πŸš€πŸ’»

When I started learning programming it was really overwhelming because of all the resources out there and none of them offered a complete environment to learn properly, I'm glad you came up with this and I wish you all the best because people who want to learn must come across your platform!
Suryoday Kaushik
@shridhar_kamathe Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 We know how overwhelming it can be when you're just starting out, so it's great to hear that our platform is making a difference. We really appreciate your support and will keep working hard to make it even better. If you have any ideas or feedback, we’d love to hear from you. Thanks again, and happy coding! πŸ’»βœ¨
