While I like a lot of the app, there are some big downsides. Features take years to implement, quite literally. In a super competitive space like note taking, this is hard to get over. I know that it is only a team of two, so perhaps some expansion is needed there. There are great collaboration features. I am sure these are tough to build, but I personally have zero interest in using the tool in any way other than individually. This is why the 3.0 release felt like a big letdown. The major features like collaboration and offline sync provide little to no benefit to me specifically. The mobile app is decent, but not very performant. Gimmicky features like earning points for using the app feel like a massive waste of dev hours. I wish some critical functionality was addressed instead. I hope the team focuses on actual deep PKM features and addresses the super slow feature releases. I have started to experiment with replacement options already.

Thanks for your review, sorry to hear development hasn’t been moving in the direction you would prefer. Supernotes has three priorities: keeping the platform laser-focused, eliminating bugs quickly, and listening to our community. In the case of real-time collaboration and full offline capabilities, those priorities were entirely dictated by our community, as the two most requested features from our subscribers over the past few years. However I’m not aware of any features that took us literal years to implement. Sometimes we don’t work on the things some people want us to when they want us to, but that is true for every product. With regards to the new onboarding experience that allows free users to earn more cards and help better acquaint them with the platform, that took up a minimal amount of development time (a few days), but has greatly improved the introduction for beginners. Performance is definitely a priority for us, so do let us know which part of the mobile apps you’ve felt are slow — we’d like to get that fixed. And thanks again for using Supernotes!

When it comes to note-taking I need get two jobs done: 1. Quickly capture notes on the go. 2. Quickly discover relevant information from my notes. @twhetton and @acnebs have built an awesome tool that excels at those two tasks. In this latest version, they perfect the offline mode, which makes Supernotes indispensable for me. I'm loving the fact that the team is building Supernotes with intention, mindfulness and strong focus on user experience. I can't wait to see more and how Supernotes will evolve in the future.

Review of Supernotes 2
Amazing app!! It really helps to organize and make knowledge management much easier !!! If the creators continue to expand the broadsheets view capabilities (reorganization possibility, infinity board, expand/retrieve content) this could really be a game-changer

Looks cute! During my time at uni I was leaning hard on Evernote and then just kinda got back to regular pen and paper... Downloading your app now, I hoping to stick to it for some time!
