I am launching Stronger for Longer, a free browser-based workout planner built to remove the guesswork from choosing exercises, reps, and weights. It adapts to goals, experience, weekly schedule, facility type, effort, and joint limitations, with bodyweight and gym options.
The hardest design question has been balancing useful personalization with a setup that still feels quick and approachable. What information would you want a workout planner to ask for before generating your routine, and what would feel like too much? I would genuinely value feedback on clarity and ease of use.
The adaptive workouts sound really useful, especially the joint limitations part since that's often overlooked. One thing that would help me is a built-in rest timer that auto-adjusts based on the exercise type and my previous set performance, so I'm not fumbling with my phone between sets.
@queuemaster Thank you for your feedback. Rest time between sets should usually be around 30-60 seconds, but mostly depending on the lift/movement. I will continue to improve the site with more things that will help the users better understand their workouts.
Love that the routines adapt as your lifts progress and respect joint limits. One thing that would help me stick with it longer is letting me schedule deload weeks in advance, so the app can automatically pull volume back when I know a busy stretch is coming up.
Finally tried this after weeks of winging it at the gym. The joint limitation tweaks are a nice touch since my knees always get ignored in generic apps.
This looks really solid for adaptive training. One thing I'd love to see is a built-in video or animated demo for each exercise right inside the workout view, so I don't have to guess form when I'm between sets. Especially helpful on cable machines where setup varies.
I built Stronger for Longer after realizing i need to lose weight , but not having any clue on what workouts to do or how frequently or anything of that nature. I use my own creation to lose weight and I've been hitting my weight loss goals. I will continue to improve the site, so as long as you are enjoying it. Lastly this site came to be on the core principle that access to workout plans will always be free. There may be some paid options in the future for specific equipment selection (ie in a home gym) but the main parts of this website will ALWAYS be for free.
