I’m Andrey, the maker of Simple Border and Skeina. I started Skeina for my mom and sister, then came back to finish it for this year’s Shipaton.
The idea is simple: turn a photo you love into a cross-stitch pattern you can actually use. Skeina matches it to DMC thread colors, estimates how much floss you need, and lets you choose your finished size and fabric count. You can mark completed stitches on your iPhone or iPad, or print a PDF chart.
I don’t cross-stitch myself, so feedback from stitchers is especially helpful as I keep improving it.
