Hey everyone — I'm Gefson, solo developer behind StenVault. I started this project after reading about harvest-now-decrypt-later attacks: adversaries are already collecting encrypted data today, waiting for quantum computers to crack it open. I went looking for encrypted storage that addressed this. Proton Drive, Tresorit, ente.io — all solid, but none had a post-quantum layer. So I built one. StenVault uses hybrid encryption — ML-KEM-768 + X25519 for key wrapping, ML-DSA-65 + Ed25519 for signatures. If the classical crypto breaks, the PQC layer holds. If PQC has a flaw, the classical layer holds. Neither is a single point of failure. A few things I'm proud of: Zero-knowledge everything. Auth is OPAQUE (RFC 9807) — the server never sees your password. Filenames are encrypted. Keys are generated client-side. A subpoena yields ciphertext and nothing else. I built my own PQC WASM package. I was going to use the leading ML-KEM library, then found real verification gaps in it. So I wrote @stenvault/pqc-wasm from scratch using RustCrypto's crates. It's on npm and usable independently. 4,300+ tests. Real WebCrypto and WASM operations, not mocks. Custom binary file format (CVEF v1.4) with AAD binding, so algorithm upgrades never break existing files. This is a solo project — no team, no funding, no CS degree.
