I came across Steemit through this article - https://medium.com/@stellabelle/...
Steemit is a blockchain based social media platform where writers get rewarded for good content. I think a platform like this has a lot of potential but as one of the responses to the Medium article points out, it appears some users are 'gaming' the system to get the rewards. It's still in beta though so I guess the system will be refined over time so that the rewards start genuinely going to the best content producers.
