Back in 2021, my friends and I got bored and built a word game called Sqword. The premise is pretty simple (place cards to make words) but requires a bit of strategy and probability. With some free time on my hands, I’ve revived and enhanced the game. I’m genuinely looking for and would really appreciate feedback on the game including things you like, don’t like, and even better ifs. Thanks in advance!
The tile placement mechanic where you have to think about both the word you're forming and the letters you're leaving open is really clever, feels like Scrabble meets a tactical card game. Love that you're actually asking for honest feedback instead of just hyping it up.
Played a couple rounds and the mix of strategy and probability keeps you thinking without feeling overwhelming. The card placement feels satisfying once you nail a long word, and the rules click fast.
