SpotCheck is a collection of eight free bookmarklets for testing common accessibility issues. Each tool is mapped to the WCAG 2.2 success criteria it covers. The tools are offered as standalone Bookmarklets or as browser extensions to accommodate different workflows.
Sometimes, when conducting a quick accessibility review, it's not necessary to run a full end-to-end test. You may just want to do a quick spot-check to see if there are any small issues that can be addressed. That's where Bookmarklets come into play. Each SpotCheck tool aligns with the appropriate accessibility guidelines for educational purposes as well as validation. And if the stand alone Bookmarklets don't fit your workflow, there's the browser extensions that can be used. SpotCheck is a starting point, not a full audit. Bookmarklets are great for quick spot-checks that catch common issues, but they don't replace a full manual and assistive tech review.
