Hey Product Hunt! I’m Mike, solo founder of SpokenAct.
I had 200+ voice memos on my phone that I never listened to again. Not because they weren’t important. I recorded them for a reason. But no one wants to scrub through 15 minutes of audio just to find the one thing they actually need to do. So the memos just sat there.
I looked at a lot of voice note apps. Otter is $17/month and built more for meetings. Just Press Record transcribes, but does not summarize. A lot of others throw up a paywall before you can even try them.
None of them really focused on what happens after you stop recording.
So I built SpokenAct. You hit record, it transcribes on-device for free and privately, then AI turns it into a summary, action items, key points, and topic tags. Instead of a pile of forgotten voice memos, you get structured notes you can scan and act on in seconds.
I have ADHD, and this started as a tool for my own brain. Voice is faster than typing, but without structure, voice notes become a graveyard. I’ve found this is not just an ADHD problem. Busy parents, students, and people who think faster than they type all run into the same thing: they record something useful, then never do anything with it.
SpokenAct is free forever for recording and transcription, with no limits. AI features come with a free 7-day trial, then it’s $9.99/month if you want to keep them.
What I’d love from this community is honest feedback:
What would make you switch from Apple Voice Memos?
What feels missing here?
I’d much rather hear it from you now than in a 1-star review later.
I’ll be in the comments all day. Thanks!!
