Hi PH
After watching teachers, parents, and event hosts struggle with engagement tools that demand sign-ups, paywall the AI features, and quietly store learner data, I've spent the last few months building SpinWheelGo a free, no-signup AI tool that turns any topic or PDF into a spin wheel, live quiz, audience survey, or flashcard set in under 10 seconds.
We launch on Product Hunt on 5/30/2026 and I'd love this community's brain on three things before we go live:
If you've ever used Kahoot, Quizizz/Wayground, Mentimeter, or Slido what frustrated you most?
We've planned a 6-month free-only window before introducing pro tiers. What single feature would make you actually pay for "pro" later?
Teachers, trainers, event hosts, HR folks what's the engagement headache nobody has solved yet?
We're a small team listening hard before launch every reply here genuinely shapes the v2 roadmap.
(Sneak peek if curious: https://www.spinwheelgo.com yes it's already live, no signup needed.)
Introducing New capability - "Worked Examples"
Type a skill ("two-digit subtraction with regrouping", "Krebs cycle", "GRE ratios"). AI writes a fully solved step-by-step example with strategy + rationale + answer. Any subject, any grade. Download Solution PDF or Worksheet PDF. Share by link or email. Free, no signup.
I built this because every "AI homework help" tool I tried gave answers, not teaching. They show what the answer is. Teachers need to show how to think through it — that's a different artifact.
Worked Examples writes the artifact teachers actually use:
Strategy callout — names the approach in plain English ("isolate the variable, then back-substitute").
Numbered steps — each step has both what to do and why it works. The rationale is the part students miss when they only see an answer key.
Final answer + check-yourself prompt — built to catch the model's own arithmetic slips.
One click downloads either a Solution PDF (teacher reference / Google Classroom upload) or a Worksheet PDF (problems with blank lines for student work). Both client-side, both Letter-sized, both work for unsaved drafts too.
Save & share creates an anonymous /we/{slug} link with a hard 24-hour TTL — auto-deleted by Firestore, no signup, no account, no recovery. Need a permanent copy? Download the PDF before it expires.
Who benefits — concrete
Audience
What they get
Time saved
K-12 classroom teachers
A fully modeled "I do" example for any tricky skill, on demand. Project the Solution view, hand out the Worksheet PDF.
15-30 min of lesson prep per skill
Tutors (1:1 / 1:few)
Fresh examples per session — no re-using last student's printout. Different numbers, same skill.
5-10 min per session
Homeschool parents
Step-by-step explanations with rationale for skills they themselves last did 25 years ago.
The "I forgot how to do this" panic
Test-prep students (SAT/GRE/MCAT/AP/IB/JEE/NEET/etc.)
Targeted worked solutions for weak topics. Generate 5 examples → study → re-generate when you want fresh problems.
Vs. expensive prep-book solution manuals
College TAs / instructors
Discussion-section examples that match the lecture. PDF goes straight to Canvas.
Building example sets from scratch
ESL / Language teachers
Conjugation drills with rationale (preterite vs imperfect, ser vs estar) — explanations students can actually re-read.
Re-explaining the same rule 5 times
Co-teaching pairs / grade-level teams
Email a saved set to up to 5 co-teachers in one click — no Google Drive permission gymnastics.
The "can you share this?" Slack thread
Tech, since PH likes builders: React + Tailwind on Firebase Hosting, Spring Boot 3 + Firestore on Cloud Run, Vertex AI Gemini 2.5 Flash with structured-output validation + corrective retry. Per-IP rate limits keep classroom Wi-Fi fair.
No paywall planned. No "free tier" trick. If you teach, please tear it apart and tell me what's missing.
