Thank you for writing this properly.
It is the most useful thing anyone has said about it today.
Retention is the fair hit. Receipts and invoices carry account numbers and vendor details, and someone should not have to ask a stranger in a comment thread what happens to the original photo. I will get it written on the site plainly, what is kept, for how long, and what deletion actually removes.
