Snooze Tabby is a simple browser extension to snooze tabs for later. Found an interesting article or website while doing something important? Should you bookmark it and open it later? Problem is you don't even know if it's worth having bookmarked. And maybe you will forget all about it. Just snooze it for later and keep being focused now.

Hi ProductHunt πŸ‘‹ I'm super excited to present Snooze Tabby. I often get distracted by something interesting, could be an article or a website. Often i will let the tabs be open while im doing something important, but this takes up memory. Sometimes i bookmark the website, but while i haven't had a chance to look at it, i don't know if the website is worth saving and sometimes i just forget all about it. I used multiple extensions to fix this, but no one lived up to my expectation. Some had bugs, some had inactive developers and some just didn't have the features im looking for. So i created Snooze Tabby and plan on expanding with new features in the coming weeks. Let me know if you have any questions!

@jacecdk This looks super useful! What happens when you close the browser -- does the snoozed list persist?
Jacob
@harrisonturton Thank you so much. Everything is saved, even when closing browser. Im also working on online backup and multi device syncing :)

@harrisonturton @jacecdk please work on it. I've been waiting for so long for someone to execute it right but alas, not many have been able to. I do hope that you plan on actively working on this.

@jacecdkΒ Hey Jacob, SnoozeTabby is the best snooze tab extension, and it would be amazing if you could bring it back to life with a V3 update. Can probably vibe code it back into life in an hour's time. Would you please consider it?

Love it! I use Firefox with a similar extension and this is very (veeeery) useful!
Jacob
@akdm_ Thanks! Firefox extension is on the roadmap as well :)

@jacecdk Please make a sync functionality! I work on two computers but my snoozed tabs aren't sync, this would be awesome! (with the Firefox sync API if possible)

I've been using http://www.tabsnooze.com/ for quite some time now. Is there any difference with Snooze Tabby ?
Jacob
@devolino I've used tab snooze myself but experienced bugs where tabs would keep opening even after i deleted them and a few other bugs. It was last updated in 2015 and the developers are not going to make bug fixes, new features and so on. I have a gotten a lot of inspiration from their bad reviews and suggestions. And i plan on building more features into the extension in the coming weeks. PS: You can actually import tab snooze data into Snooze Tabby after you downloaded it, i built it so i could transfer to it quickly.

@devolino @jacecdk TabSnooze has been amazing for me. I saw that it also has 5/5 reviews, so not sure which bad reviews it's had. But yes, weird that it's not been updated in so long. I'll gives your's a try in that case.
Jacob
@devolino @_jacksmith Not reviews sorry, if you check out support and look under problems, a lot experience same problems as i did.

@devolino @jacecdk one bit that i do like is how their icon is more minamlist. the pink icon of your app is a bit garish
Jacob
@devolino @_jacksmith Thanks for feedback, i will change a few things for next release :)

If it automatically snooze tabs when not in use for a long time, like greatsuspender will be useful Nice UI, btw . Great extension :)
Jacob
@gauthamzzz Thank you and thanks for the suggestion. I will add it as a feature request on my trello board :)

@jacecdk This product was made for me. I've already used it a ton. I'll share some feedback when I have a little more. The main thing I can think of now is that it would be nice to have the option set a custom day/time
Jacob
@jeff_osborn Thats great, glad you like it! The option to pick a custom date with time is coming in next release. You can always send feedback on mail@snoozetabby.com :)

Yess! No more killing tabs in Chrome task manager...

Have you seen this? It's already battle tested with over a million downloads https://chrome.google.com/websto...
Jacob
@martinolsansky Yes i have seen it. So the difference is Snooze Tabby closes the tab and wakes up it later compared to The Great Suspender who keeps them open. And soon there will be cross device syncing. Example: You can snooze tabs at work and have them popup at home. This extension is actually more a way to clean up tabs so you don't end up with 50 tabs because you keep finding something interesting but doesn't have time to check it out. (This is my use case, i often had 25-40 tabs open and they would just sit there forever until i had time to check it out) I think i will have to change the description of this extension to fit the vision better. In short: The Great Suspender focuses more on memory where this extension will try to focus on productivity.
