Snipee is a screen capture and recording app for Mac. Your screen is the canvas: mark up what you see with arrows, boxes, numbered steps, words and blur, then press Return to copy it, with no editor in the way. Delay capture holds the screen still, so a menu stays in the picture. Draw on your screen while you record, and let the ink fade by itself or keep it. Read the text off your screen. Limited-time price: US$14.99, once, on any two computers. Free for 14 days.

Hi Product Hunt!
I made Snipee because I wanted to mark up what's on my screen right where it is, without going to another window first.
Press a shortcut and choose an area. It stays in place and becomes a canvas: arrows, boxes, numbered steps, words, and blur go on right there. Press Return, and it's copied.
A few other things it does:
Delay capture for things that vanish: press first, open the menu during the count, and the screen holds still with the menu in it.
Draw on your screen while you record. The ink can fade after 3, 5, or 10 seconds, or stay until you clear it, and Snipee's own bar stays out of the video.
Read the text off your screen, in English and the language you use Snipee in.
Blur or block what's private: what you copy is covered, and your original stays as it was.
There's no account and no tracking. It goes online only to check the license (at least once every 30 days) and to look for updates. Limited-time price: US$14.99, once, for any two computers. Every feature is free for 14 days. It needs macOS 15 or later.
