Hello Product Hunt Community 👋 I'm Mark, and I suck at web design so I made a web developer tool to use other people's designs 😈 SnipCSS is a Chrome extension that can quickly turn existing sections of websites into reusable web components. If you've ever copied CSS styles from devtools by hand to mimic a design, SnipCSS is the perfect tool for that. With one click you can create a snippet with all the HTML/CSS/Images needed for any portion of any website. I haven't seen any other tool stay true to the original design and extract all associated styles as well as SnipCSS. Not only can you create snippets, but you can then templatize them and turn them into React/Vue components using ChatGPT. The Pro version allows you to extract all media queries for responsiveness and has more options such as scoping the CSS, or removing unnecessary attributes. I'm also working on a template directory of snippets so everyone can see examples of how well the tool works. Templates are automatically filled with lorem ipsum data and have their images and other copyrighted material replaced. Unlike other website builder frameworks targeted towards developers, the amount of templates you can create with SnipCSS is unlimited. You can treat the web as your own personal design library. That's why I want to keep working on it, and see how far I can take it. 🚀 Thank you for any support, and hopefully people will find it useful!
