Small World

I built Small World to find interesting people when I travel. The app also notifies me when friends visit my city, reducing the number of missed connections. There are a lot people I'd like to share what city I'm in, but I'm not ready to share my exact GPS location. Small World solves this by looking at your friends' Twitter profiles to see if they've shared information about upcoming trips, and it notifies you when they're in your city. I built Small World mostly for myself, but I figured it would be useful to lots of other people who live a semi-nomadic lifestyle too! I was just joking that we need a Zenly for millennials. Now that everyone's working remotely and traveling more frequently, it's hard to know who's in town to hang. Clever idea to bootstrap this off Twitter data, @devon_zuegel.

Really cool! I wish Slack supported something like this so it could be easier for people in a company do this. Might be also cool if it was possible to let other people know about plans to go somewhere so they could plan ahead.
