Finally! Praying that Lexus is not playing with my emotions on this one. If this is fake I'll never buy a Lexus because of that alone. Don't mess with childhood dreams.

@lombardinelson usatoday: " there are magnets underneath the surface." My family owns 3 Toyota / Lexus cars. I'm so p****d off. They just destroyed my trust in toyota motor company. :-/

@angelomilan That's sad. I actually enjoyed Lexus as a brand and would often promote them as a preference. They just lost a future customer.
It would actually make a lot of sense for a company like Lexus (or Tesla) to try and build a hoverboard. The same way Apple learns something by building an iPhone and then goes apply that technology to a different product category. Imagine Lexus would implement this hoverboard tech to their cars. The next reinvention of the wheel = no wheel at all...

Nice little bait and switch there. Just as the person is about to step on the "smoking" hoverboard it cuts away and I frantically click Skip to see what's next. I hover my mouse over models expecting to see a range of sick hoverboards in various colors, only to be disappointed with the range of Lexus vehicles.
Well played Lexus, well played indeed.

I always find it interesting when established companies in a certain sector branch out and put their weight behind something outside of the normal business model. Hopefully in 5 years my hoverbike will be ready!!

I've been burned too many times to take the bait on this one.... but somehow a small part of me hopes and dreams for this to be real.... hahah!
