What do you think? …

Looks great - love the interface - how did you shortlist the resources? From experience or by talking to the community?
yas
@tombwatts Thanks Tom! Good questions - so, some of the books were recommended by people I spoke to and some were found through a lot of personal research. There are also plenty of courses and books I have personally vetted too. Ideally, I want the community to recommend all the resources they have found useful when trying to self learn new skills

@yasrostom Nice I like the recommendations angle- I've got a few I can sling your way - DM me.
yas
@tombwatts Will do - thanks tom

Very cool - I like the range of skills on offer. Looks very handy and something I'll look at in the future when I'm looking to expand my skillset, nice job!

@_chrisgreg Thanks Chris! feel free to recommend any resources you may have come across that you think would be useful to share!

@yasrostom Jon Ducketts other book about jquery is fantastic, as is Node Cookbook by David Clement if people are looking to improve their server-side JavaScript.
yas
@_chrisgreg Thanks Chris - will check these out :)

Thanks for the hunt! @kwdinc ! SkillStack is a curated directory of resources to help people learn digital skills. It was inspired by many other of the stacks that have come out in the recent months. It includes around 130 resources which are split by type of skill i.e Code, Design, Data, Marketing etc. It's then further split into 2 categories for each skill; Books and Courses. Initially this started as a 'yelp' for courses to learn to code but whilst I was working on it, I saw that someone had done something similar. I could've carried on but I realised it would not be adding anymore value that what existed already. So I went back to the drawing board and thought what else I could do. As someone who is constantly looking for the best place to learn new skills, I would always list them somewhere when ever I came across them. I thought putting this all in one place could be a fun side project, so here it is! Would appreciate any feedback!

Nice job. The inclusion of books is a big plus — something that is too often overlooked.
yas
@michaelkleincc Thanks! - everyone has a different learning style so important to include both. I think books work even better when supplemented alongside the courses.

Something is wrong with the mobile site. It keeps going back to the skillstack homepage when I click on a subject box.
