> What inspired me to build this?
Like many of you, I've struggled with insomnia for quite a while. I tried countless sleep and wellness apps hoping to find something that would help, but I kept running into the same frustrations.
> The problem I was trying to solve:
Most existing apps have overwhelmingly cluttered UIs that stress you out rather than calm you down. Even worse, they were missing key features I actually needed to build healthy sleep habits and manage my wellbeing. I realized if I was going to solve my sleep issues, I needed to build the solution myself.
> How it evolved:
I started by designing ShineMind for my own use - stripping away everything unnecessary and focusing on what actually helps. Clean, calming interface. Features that matter. AI-powered guidance that adapts to you. The more I used it, the more I refined it based on what actually worked for me.
Now I'm sharing it because I genuinely believe that if it helped me overcome my insomnia, it can help others who are facing similar struggles.
