Hey Hunters 👋 I’m Manu, I make web apps for a living with a stack based on Next.js and Shadcn/ui. Every time I start a new project, I need to create a Shadcn theme. But I couldn’t find a generator that handled charts and sidebars. Also, the generators I found felt either too complex or weren’t designed specifically for shadcn/ui. So, I built a Theme Generator: The promise of the tool is that you can generate a shadcn theme in just a few clicks, and it’s going to look nice, even if you don’t know anything about design. How it works: 1. You pick a primary color and the generator automatically calculates the rest of your theme, including sidebar and chart colors. 2. You can see how your theme looks on landing pages, dashboards, and charts in both light and dark modes. 3. Tweak the saturation, brightness, or chart colors until you’re happy 4. Copy your theme in one click or share it with a client or teammate to get feedback. What’s next? I’m exploring features like font selection or fine-grained controls for each color.
