Selfly is a private work journal for software engineers. It reads your GitHub and GitLab activity (titles, links and timestamps, never your code) and drafts contributions for you. Once a week you confirm them in about 90 seconds, right from the keyboard. At review time, you get a summary built only from what you confirmed, with every line linked to its source. Built just for you: no manager view, no scores, and the AI never invents your impact.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Mayank, I built Selfly.
Every appraisal cycle I had the same problem. My manager would ask what I shipped since March, and I'd spend an evening digging through old PRs, tickets and Slack threads trying to piece it together. The work was real. I just never wrote it down.
Selfly is a private work journal for software engineers that does the writing down for you. It reads your GitHub and GitLab activity, only titles, links and timestamps and never your code, and drafts contributions from it.
Once a week you confirm them in about ninety seconds. Confirm, edit or skip, all from the keyboard. For work that never touched a tracker, like mentoring or an interview loop, press ⌘K and type one line.
At review time you pick a cycle and get a summary built only from what you confirmed. Every line links back to its source. If there's no measured impact, it stays blank. The AI never makes up numbers.
It's just for you. No team view, no manager dashboard, no streaks or scores.
GitHub and GitLab work today, Jira is next. I'd love to hear two things from you: what else you'd want Selfly to pull in, and how reviews work at your company. I'm here all day to answer.
