And every recommendation tool or AI chat I tried wanted me to explain my taste from scratch, every time. I just wanted something that already knew what I liked. So I built SecludedGems. Instead of asking you to list games, it reads your Steam library, your hours, and your wishlist to work out your taste on its own, then uses a scoring system to surface well-reviewed hidden gems you don't already own. In the mood for something specific? Type a craving like 'co-op night', 'something cozy', or 'Dark Souls but with guns', and it steers the picks. Every pick puts the trailer, what players say, how many people actually finish it, the local price, and Steam Deck compatibility on one card, so you're not bouncing between Steam, YouTube, ProtonDB and SteamDB to vet a single game. It's a free solo project (built with a lot of AI coding help), and it doesn't store your library. I'd genuinely love your feedback, especially on whether the picks are any good.
